WHY PURCHASE AN ENERGY INSPECTION?
BECAUSE ENERGY COSTS ARE THE SECOND
LARGEST EXPENSE OF HOME OWNERSHIP; SECOND
ONLY TO YOUR MORTGAGE
PAYMENT.
The Home TuneUp provides a road map which achieves an average of a 25% reduction in energy costs. The energy inspection and the improvements suggested in your report are “investments that you can literally bank on”. If your present home or the home you are considering purchasing is older than 15 years, then it is a likely candidate for an energy inspection.
The goal of the Home TuneUp program is “to bring today's energy efficiency to yesteryear's homes, paid for by tomorrow's energy savings.” It encourages homeowners to “put their money where their house is”, by shifting from purchasing energy to purchasing energy improvements. This will:
improve a home's comfort,
increase its value,
save energy costs,
and enable us to live more responsibly on our planet.
The most significant savings are realized when the improvements are financed, especially if they are rolled into the mortgage at the time the home is purchased. The Home TuneUp inspection is recognized by FHA and Fannie Mae. Improvements identified by this inspection qualify for inclusion within a mortgage. For additional information visit:
